Principles
1. Promote deep and thoughtful care for the environment
2. Emphasize on identification and use of local and indigenous resources and knowledge
3. Cultivate Inclusive, responsive, transparent and active participation of SCOPE country chapters
4. Genuine and wide participation of young people at all levels
5. Make learning fun, practical and relevant
6. Systematic/regular practical learning from experience and planning ahead strategically
7. Ensure implementation of activities based on creative and well thought out designs and plans
8. Ensure documentation and transparent information sharing
9. Build networks and alliances for mutual support across all divided
10. Empower and strengthen members and local economies

ReSCOPE has four strategic objectives which focus on Organizational, Programming and Finance (OPF) based on the three focus areas:

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
ReSCOPE Secretariat
• To build the capacity of country chapters for effective advocacy
• Provide a platform for information sharing
• Establish a link with regional and international players
• Facilitate and support the establishment of new country chapters
• Technical backstopping and reference to country chapters
• Coordinate resource mobilization for joint projects/programs
• Documentation
• Monitor and Evaluate project work
Schools
• Own the project and provide security
• Use the project as a practical learning field
• Avail the learners during the project implementation
• Get Involved in project planning and implementation
• Documentation
• Participate in Monitoring and evaluation
• Organize school and field days
• Host events and visitors
Communities
• Be involved in the project planning and implementation of the project
• Provide labour tools and local resources
• Provide indigenous knowledge
• Enforce by laws
• Provide security
• Provide local resources e.g. seeds
• Involved in advocacy activities
• M&E
• Documentation

Country Chapters
• Develop country chapters
• Determine the criteria for selection of members, identify and recruit member, connect with policy makers, identify coalitions for advocacy,
• Setting up centers of excellence, capacity building for members
• Provide platform for networking
• Participation in national, regional and international meetings
• Chapter chair serves on the ReSCOPE Board, need to be aware that ReSCOPE has a gender policy and we have provision that if the board chair will upset gender balance then the vice chair should be sent
• Resource mobilization

• Communication within the country and at regional level
• Documentation
• Input in the regional strategy
• Hosting regional activities

Organizations who meet the criteria set up by country chapters: Must be organizations promoting agroecological practices and working with schools.
